We set out to build our own foundation model.
We failed — and the failure taught us two things.
First, that the real capability was not training a model but fine-tuning and deploying open-source models anywhere a customer needed them, inside their own walls.
Second, that for most Indian organisations, governed data is not a preference; it is a compliance mandate they cannot meet with any tool on the market.
NeoPhoenix exists at the intersection of those two lessons: governed AI that runs where the data already is, priced for the organisations the global platforms were never built for.
